A Dramatic Reading of Scenes from Sophocles’ - Theater of War is an innovative project that presents readings of ancient Greek plays as a catalyst for town hall discussions about the challenges faced by service members, veterans, their families, caregivers, and communities. Followed by a panel discussion with audience participation about the challenges faced by veterans returning from war. 
ADMISSION IS FREE. SEATING IS LIMITED.

This innovative performance and discussion is intended to promote healthy dialogue in our communities, while fostering empathy, healing, and understanding. - Marlene Sorenson

Here is a picture of our new home at 625 S. 27th Street, Lincoln, NE  68510-3104.  The good news: we are home owners !  The bad news: we have a lot of work to do.  More good news: together we will get it done and we will improve the neighborhood and the lives of veterans !!!

Even though the O.V.E.R. house is a project that is not finished yet, rest assured that if you know a veteran, you can refer them to us and we will guide them to the benefits that they earned.  Contact us immediately if you know of a veteran in crisis !

Contributions to O.V.E.R. support our efforts to strengthen and expand services to homeless veterans in Nebraska. We are a 100 percent volunteer organization. When you give to O.V.E.R., veterans benefit in the following ways :

* Immediate placement of veterans who are in crisis or transition.

 

* Short-term and long-term therapeutic housing for veterans in recovery.

 

* Community outreach to educate veterans about services available through local agencies and veterans programs.

 

* Leadership in building and strengthening partnerships between the Veteran's Administration and local agencies – to enhance benefits and develop homeless prevention strategies.

 

* Advocate issues affecting homeless veterans and the nonprofit organizations providing services to them.

 

* Provide short-term employment for veterans receiving services and match veterans with employers. 

 

* Provide no-interest microloans and a platform for small business ventures at our outreach center.
